Ok lots of important things are happening in the world, or not happening that should!
Why though when some sporting event happens , can't the t.v producers use another channel to televise uninterrupted coverage of-"The Euro's", "Royal Ascot", "Wimbledon" followed by "The Olmpics". -i.e bbc use -bbc2 , itv use -itv2 ?
Today I wanted to watch "Doctors"-bbc 1, the programme ended quite dramatically yesterday , cancelled today for "Royal - Ascot". what was on bbc2? = a repeat of the weakeat link, tell me they couldn't have used bbc2 for horse racing fans.
Same as "The Euro's" hardly any "Corrie" , whats on itv2 =repeat progs'
This will carry on for Wimbledon and the Olympics, I know people will say "Coronation st " is on all the time, but most fans don't mind now and then dissruptions, but with a bit of planning the station providers could make everyone happy. These soaps are therapy for me , I can watch them and relax , not worry about anything for half an hour. "Doctors" aint on till goodness knows when, Ascot all week, followed by wimbledon. moan groan

Must admit you do have a point re. sports overkill, especially when the Beeb and ITV have all these extra channles doling out often rubbish repeats etc...they could shift some of the mainstream over during intense sports events.

I'd've thought that just knocking nonsense like Doctors off the schedule, justifies spending millions on sports rights...

Because on the terrestrial TV services those channels don't broadcast in HD.

Derogatory, how can you be so nasty about "Doctor's" It's a B'ham programme , and it is so realistic, it explains all about illnesses so factually I like it and am not embarassed to say so
Daz must say I never thought of "H.D", well I don't need to watch "Coro" in H.D so move the soaps to the alternative channel.
oops guess what has just started , you guessed it "coro. st" must watch it. Glad people see what I mean , (I did watch England last night though)

I just watched a recent episode. A few things I didn't follow, but mainly I wouldn't want to be a patient at that St Phil's place...........
