Well there were two amazing football results last night..but the Villa/Bolton one means that McCleish may be the first manager in history? to get two top flight midlands clubs relegated in two seasons... an incredible achievement.

Yes, we can but dream.

However, Ron Saunders went one better being responsible for dumping both Blues and Albion into the second tier in the same season 1985-86.

He's doing a wonderful job, McLeish. I won't have a word said against him.

Anyone reading my blog over the season will know that

RON SAUNDERS

Birmingham City

In January 1986, Saunders walked out on struggling Birmingham to take charge of local rivals and fellow strugglers West Bromwich Albion.

West Bromwich Albion

He was unable to stop Albion from sliding into the Second Division and was dismissed in September 1987, after failing to get them back into the First Division. This was his last managerial role.

I wouldn't expect that. McLeish is one factor but your injury list is another. The Baggies are going to dominate the midfield battle as they have better players in there so you'll need some luck.
