Well that was unexpected at the end of the race but what great PR for the City from the most famous person on the planet at this time.

well done to all involved in making sure they felt all like that.

Yup our people are lovely, was awesome.
Apparently Bolt was having treatment at the QE and has family in Brum.

It has been suggested that the Jamaicans would never have come to Birmingham if it had not been for ex Council leader Mike Whitby
flying to Jamaica on an all expenses paid visit to persuade them to come to Birmingham instead of Leeds.

Apparently the clincher was when the ex Cabinet member for Fun and Games personally showed them around the facilities at Birmingham University.

It would therefore appear that we and the Jamaicans have the Birmingham Condems to thank for their success.
